Editorial Policy
This page states how we work. It is written so that a reader can audit us.
1. What we publish
We publish five items every Monday, each covering the previous Monday–Sunday window (UTC+8):
- Weekly GameFi News Review — 10–20 items, each with a stated source and our own assessment.
- Weekly GameFi Data Report — a fixed metric set with week-over-week and four-week comparison.
- Weekly GameFi Intelligence — the same five questions answered every week.
- Cost Intelligence — a weekly energy price update, plus a monthly cost and market report.
- Deep Dive — one long-form report on a single event, project or mechanism.
2. Source tiers
| Tier | What it covers | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 — Primary | TRON DAO announcements, TRONSCAN, TRON official blog and GitHub, game project official sites / blogs / official X and Discord, Tether, on-chain contract data | Sufficient on its own for a factual claim |
| Tier 2 — Data platforms | TRONSCAN, DappRadar, DefiLlama, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, NFT marketplaces, TRONGrid | Used for measurement; cross-checked against Tier 1 where possible |
| Tier 3 — Media | CoinDesk, The Block, Cointelegraph, Decrypt, DL News | Cross-verification only; never the sole source for a material claim |
| Tier 4 — Security | SlowMist, CertiK, PeckShield, ExVul | Used for incident reporting |
Banned sources: anonymous leaks, unsourced screenshots, single-outlet major claims, and any figure we cannot trace to a named publisher.
3. Verification rules
- Every material claim requires two independent sources, or one Tier-1 / on-chain source.
- Numbers are stored in a single shared data file so the same figure cannot drift between articles.
- Every table states the unit, the as-of date and whether the value is measured or modelled.
- Before publication each issue is checked for: unit conversions, week-over-week arithmetic, absolute language, and source traceability.
4. Modelled vs measured
We are explicit when a number is not a measurement. No public dashboard publishes a standardised "GameFi" category comparable across chains, so our chain-level GameFi figures are modelled, derived from our own contract label set, and always published as a range rather than a point estimate. Modelled figures are labelled as such in every table that contains them.
5. Conflicts of interest
We are operated by the team behind Tronsell, a TRON energy provider — and TRON is one of nine chains we track, ranked second-most-expensive in our own baseline. Our mitigations are stated on the About page: burn-fallback-first cost comparisons, full competitor price ranges, a three-mention brand cap, and public methodology.
6. Corrections
- Substantive corrections are made in place, with a dated correction note at the foot of the article.
- We do not silently edit figures after publication.
- To report an error, use Contact. We aim to respond within five working days.
7. What we will not publish
- Investment advice, price targets or return guarantees.
- Sponsored placements or paid rankings.
- Content generated without human review.
